A character who looks and sounds like original Ghostbuster Bill Murray will be in the game Videogame publisher Vivendi has revealed that it is working on a new title which will be based on the hugely popular 80s film Ghostbusters.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, the company said that the game will be multi-platform and will have much of the comedic appeal as the big screen hit, as well as some scary moments.

An official release about the title is expected from the company tomorrow (Friday, November 16th) but Vivendi did confirm some details to the site.

In a short statement, it said: "Sierra Entertainment/Vivendi Games is very excited to share more information regarding the upcoming Ghostbusters video game once our exclusive stories reach full distribution on Friday, November 16th.

"Ghostbusters is one of the most recognised entertainment brands in the world and we are developing games that will authentically capture its humour, chills and timeless appeal."

It is thought that the game will feature characters which look and sound like original cast members including Bill Murray and Dan Ackroyd and the plot will pick up from where Ghostbusters II left off.
